Pause, Reassess, Escalate is a ready-to-use clinical judgment training game designed for veterinary nurses and assistants working in fast-paced clinical environments.
This game focuses on one of the most critical — and often under-taught — nursing skills: recognizing when a patient needs reassessment or escalation rather than task continuation. Through realistic scenarios, guided discussion prompts, and structured escalation updates, teams practice identifying trends, prioritizing concerns, and communicating effectively to support patient safety.
There is no scoring and no single “right” answer. The goal is discussion, reflection, and confidence-building — not memorization.
