This disclaimer applies to all MAVEN content, courses, consulting services, digital products, workshops, speaking engagements, templates, downloads, communications, and educational materials.
1. Educational Purpose Only
All content provided by Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Education Network LLC, doing business as MAVEN, is intended solely for professional education, informational use, workforce development, staff training, curriculum support, and operational improvement within veterinary practice and education settings.
MAVEN content does not constitute veterinary medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, patient-specific clinical guidance, or direction for the care of any individual animal.
2. Not a Substitute for Veterinary Medical Judgment
MAVEN content is not a substitute for the independent professional judgment of a licensed veterinarian.
All clinical decisions involving the health, welfare, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, medication, anesthesia, procedure, or management of an individual animal patient must be made by a licensed veterinarian operating within the context of a valid Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship, as required by applicable law.
Veterinary technicians, veterinary nurses, assistants, students, practice managers, trainers, and other users are responsible for following:
Applicable state practice acts
Veterinary board rules and regulations
Hospital policies and protocols
Medical director guidance
DVM orders and supervision requirements
Professional standards and current evidence-based references
3. Consulting Scope
MAVEN consulting services are limited to veterinary education, training program design, curriculum development, staff development, workflow support, professional development, and related operational or instructional support.
MAVEN does not provide direct clinical care to animals. MAVEN does not diagnose, treat, prescribe for, or clinically manage any animal or patient condition.
Any clinical topic discussed in a MAVEN product, service, workshop, or consulting engagement is discussed for educational, training, workflow, or curriculum development purposes only.
4. Credential Disclosure
MAVEN is owned by Brandie Johnson, RVT, LVT. Services and educational content are developed and delivered within the lawful scope of those credentials and MAVEN’s business purpose as a veterinary education and consulting company.
Nothing in MAVEN’s content, communications, or services should be interpreted as the practice of veterinary medicine.
5. Verification Required
Veterinary medicine, education standards, hospital protocols, and state practice laws can change. MAVEN makes reasonable good-faith efforts to provide accurate and relevant educational content at the time of publication or delivery.
Users are responsible for independently verifying current information with appropriate authoritative sources, including but not limited to:

Results may vary based on the user’s experience, practice setting, implementation, leadership support, applicable laws, hospital protocols, team culture, and other circumstances outside MAVEN’s control.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MAVEN, Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Education Network LLC, its owner, employees, contractors, contributors, speakers, and affiliates shall not be liable for damages arising from or related to:
Reliance on MAVEN educational content
Use of MAVEN digital products
Use of MAVEN consulting deliverables
Use of MAVEN workshop or course materials
Clinical decisions made by any licensed or unlicensed person
Failure to verify information against current laws, standards, or protocols
Errors, omissions, outdated information, or user misapplication
Failure to achieve expected outcomes
Use of MAVEN content, products, consulting services, and educational materials is undertaken at the user’s own professional risk.
